Morel Mushroom Hunt

The Lewiston Morel Mushroom Festival offers a first class guided hunt and a "pro" hunt for the elusive Morel Mushroom . Whether you are a novice or a pro, these guided hunts are sure to please people of all ages and skill levels. These hunts not only take you to some of the best hunting areas in Michigan, but they also educate you along the way. Thanks to Richard from Bear Lake Services, he teaches you the proper way to pick, carrier, and select the good from the bad. 

Registration for these Guided Hunts are located at the Lewiston Elementary School on the day of the Festival or at the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce now until the Festival. Click here for directions 

The Guided Hunt cost is $15 per person. Registration is at 8 am or 11 am.  Bus transportation to the hunting areas is provided. 

The Pro Guided Hunt cost is $30 per person. Registration is at 8 am or 11 am, a free mushroom carrier sack, and entry into the Taste of Lewiston. Games and prizes, a minimum of $50 in the Pro Guided Hunt, are also available. Bus transportation to the hunting areas will be provided.

Mushroom Tasting

Join in the Annual Mushroom Tasting. Located at the Arts and Crafts Show, enjoy tasty samples from local restaurants and businesses. 

Tickets are $7 per person, which also includes entry into the Arts and Crafts Show. 100 tickets are available for this event, and can be purchased at the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce office every Friday or Saturday, and at the event. This event does sell out, so get your tickets early.
